It's been a long time since we've communicated through this forum! Thanks for checking in with us, and for continuing to pray with us and for us for what God is doing in the great Northwest.
Marie and I have been laboring for the past 2 and 1/2 years to build the International House of Prayer Northwest, located in Federal Way, Washington. We began having prayer meetings in our home in May of 2008, moved to a portable facility courtesy of a local congregation in Tacoma, went from there to a 2000 square foot room in Korean television station, and now to a 9400 square foot facility in Federal Way. Wow! What a journey we're on!
The most exciting thing about it all is that God is beginning to draw young adults from all over the Northwest to join us through our Forerunner Internship program. The Forerunner Internship is geared toward preparing this young generation to give themselves to prayer, fasting, and night and day worship in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David. This fall we had 17 full-time interns involved, studying Christology as well as the Bridal Paradigm of relationship with Jesus. On top of their studies, they've been involved in worship and intercession teams, helping with administrative detail in the House of Prayer, and growing deeper in the knowledge of Christ as the passion of their lives.
We are planning two tracks of the Forerunner Internship starting in February 2011, a repeat of Track 1 from this fall, and a new Track 2, which will focus on intercession and eschatology. You can get more information on our website by going to http://internationalhouseofprayernorthwest.org/lang/en/internship/fssm/.
At the present time, the House of Prayer Northwest is operating between Noon and 10 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and from Noon to Midnight on Fridays. We have Encountering God Services on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings, and there between 120-150 folks that are identifying with us in a primary way.
So, thanks much for continuing to pray with us. We will be updating this site on a regular basis again, and trust that you will continue to visit and keep in touch with us.
Also, please feel free to visit the IHOP-Northwest website at www.ihopnw.org. We'll look for you there!
